International Torah Lishmah
(study for its own sake)
Torah Lishmah, or study for its own sake, is a
mainstay of Jewish life. KOACH (the College Outreach Department of The
United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism) is pleased to invite college
students to participate in its third annual Learning Project. This program
is for both the inexperienced and the experienced student of Jewish texts.
Join us for this exciting opportunity to learn from the voices of
antiquity as well as from teachers and peers.
-
Study text with college students throughout North
America and Israel
-
Connect via the Internet and the KOACH Kallah for a
global learning experience
-
Learn with other students, teachers or mentors; in
pairs, groups, or even on your own
-
Celebrate the excitement of your heritage through
the time-honored tradition of Torah Lishmah
The Program for 2000-2001
During the 2000-2001 academic year, we will
participate in the Perek Yomi program of the United Synagogue of
Conservative Judaism, studying the Writings with the help of scholars and
the Internet.
Conservative Jews throughout the world are committing
themselves to read a chapter of Tanakh each day. Learn more about Perek
Yomi at
