Campus Update: University of Arizona

KOACH has already been off to a great start at the University of Arizona. We have already had a number of those famous spiritual and loveable KOACH Shabbatot. With the incoming first year class, KOACH services have been even livelier, with new voices and new faces. Attendance at services is at an all-time high!

This year, at the University of Arizona, the Shabbat atmosphere will expand beyond the doors of Hillel. KOACH will be sponsoring different Shabbat events to help build and strengthen our Shabbat experience. These events will include Shabbat dinners in student’s apartments or homes, Cholent-filled Shabbat lunches, or gathering together for a bittersweet Havdalah service. We hope to create a kehillah, a community, full of Shabbat kavanah (spiritual intention) at the UofA.

A few weeks ago, KOACH held its famous and popular "Jews on Screen" program. Students across campus gathered together for a night full of fun, friends and KOACH. We gathered together, enjoyed some delicious popcorn and laughed a lot while watching the movie, Keeping Up with the Steins.

This is just the beginning to a successful year! We look forward to seeing what KOACH will bring to our campus in the upcoming months.
